Bundling of Hoses & Abrasion Protection

RHINO Wrap™ 1050 can be cut to length for bundling groups of hoses together in minutes for ease of assembly and for abrasion protection. When a hose breaks there is no need to take all the hoses out of a sleeve to remove a bad hose. Just open it up, remove the bad hose, insert the new hose and you are back in business without any disassembly.

 

Cylinder Rod Protection

Damaged cylinder rods & seals are ongoing problems on hydraulic equipment. Dents and gouges on rods reduce both seal and gland life and allow contaminates into the system. Research has shown that the cost of damaged cylinders is ten times the cost of prevention.

  • Temperature Range: -60º F to +250º F (-51ºC to +121ºC)
  • Abrasion: Very Good, meets ISO 6945 specifications
  • Meets: Line of Sight Operator specification EN982 ISO norm 833 EN
  • Puncture and Tear resistance: Excellent
  • UV Protection: Very Good, meets EN13758-1
  • Chemicals: Very good resistance to water and petroleum
  • Meets California Prop 65
  • Meets RoHS

How to Determine Size:

1. Extend cylinder
2. Measure rod length & cylinder Barrel O.D.
3. Use sleeve slightly larger than Barrel O.D.
4. Cut length 3”-4” (76.20mm-101.60mm) longer than extended length
5. Install sleeve over extended rod
6. Secure end on barrel with screw clamp
7. Fold sleeve around rod behind clevis, secure with clamp
8. Extend & retract cylinder to confirm fit
